One of the downstairs rooms has a built-in marble four-poster pillared platform bed (heated in winter); there’s an exotic Tibetan suite with Oriental antiques and hand painted screens; French themed boudoirs with imported antiques and mirrored dressers for glitz. The east wing comprising six suites is complete and the final touches have been made to the dining and lounge areas.  These six suites have been individually decorated, each with its own unique look and feel.  These six suites are north facing, so the sun beams through the big windows in the bedrooms as well as the bathrooms. Their bathrooms are very spacious; with his and her basins, separate shower and separate bath.  Some rooms have their own walk in dressing room in the bathroom area.
The 5 suite west wing suites are all very spacious, as well as their bathrooms.  They each have a
spectacular view of the surrounding mountains and vineyards.

Activities at La Residence include swimming, and mountain/village walks. Private wine tasting at various estates, cheese tasting and trout fishing, can be arranged. For a wine tour with a difference, hop on to a horse and visit a few of the Vignerons de Franschhoek. The courtyard, seating up to 120 people and with its outlook on the mountains, is the perfect venue for weddings.
