The Lodge has been built on the banks of the Sabie River with magnificent views, extending onto the open sand banks of the Kruger National Park. The Lodge faces due south and is approximately 100 meters upstream of River Lodge. The entrance area is separate from the main lodge in order to ensure that guests arriving and departing have no impact on other overnight guests.
A place to relax next to an open fireplace, read a book or share, whilst savouring a glass of red wine, the stories of the day's safari. The lounge is equipped with a full size fridge stocked with fresh fruits, yoghurts, chocolates and savoury snacks, tea and coffee making facilities, a service hatch to enhance privacy, internet points and a large open wooden fireplace. The large sliding doors open up onto your viewing deck, which has a spotting scope to assist with getting close to the abundance of game that drinks from the Sabie River in front of the suite.
The suites have their own private rim flow plunge pools with magnificent views over the Sabie River, whilst cooling down from the hot African sun, watch animals as they quench their thirst a mere stones throw away. The pools are lit so taking a swim in the warm summer evenings is a must!
Our new premier wine cellar adds a new element to the guest experience. Our guests are welcome to enjoy a presentation and wine tasting in our cellar, which holds some of South Africa 's most outstanding wines. These can then be ordered to accompany the dinner.
