Day 1
Upon arrival in Johannesburg, you will need to proceed to the Federal Air counter to check in for your direct charter flight to the Lodge. You will be met by your ranger at the Lodge airstrip, and transferred in a 4x4 vehicle to the lodge for check in.
The rest of the day will be at leisure until you join the evening game viewing drive.

What Happens on Safari?
Safaris take place each morning and evening in open Land rovers, which drive through a wide variety of habitats, allowing you to view the vast interactions of the wild. After breakfast, guests keen to participate on guided walking trails can experience the natural environment on foot. See our quitessential safari itinerary.

Day 4
After your morning game viewing activity, you will return to the lodge for breakfast, before being transferred to the lodge airstrip for your flight back to Johannesburg.

1 x Overnight at the Southern Sun Intercontinental Hotel O.R. Tambo Airport on a bed & breakfast basis

Day 5
You will make your way to OR Tambo Airport to check in for your flight to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival in Victoria Falls you will be transferred to the Matetsi Safari Lodge for check in. During your stay you will have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of The Falls as well as a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi river, where you are sure to see many hippos, crocodiles, elephants coming down to drink, and abundant birdlife. Matetsi is a private wildlife concession 45 minutes upstream from Victoria Falls town, where you will be able to participate in game drives as well as the traditional Zambezi River cruises, and the lodge runs complimentary shuttles between The Falls and the lodge.

Day 8
You will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport to check in for your return flight to Johannesburg
