African Exclusive Travel's Social Responsibility Uthando

When considering our place in the communities around us, it is so obvious that there is always someone far worse off than us, and that in fact we are so blessed to have as much as we have. We don’t need to look very far to realise the struggle many people have, and it’s practically on our doorsteps. James House

Realising this fact, African Exclusive Travel is committed to doing its part for those who are less fortunate, and with the many foreign hands that we shake every day as you, our clients enter this country, we have endless opportunities to give back to the enormous amounts of poverty and stricken results of our previously discriminatory governmental decisions in South Africa, which still overpower our international media every day.

African Exclusive Travel supports Uthando South Africa, in a monetary contribution in every booking and through the support and motivation Dancers at Jikeleza
of its daily “field trips” to our clients. Uthando (meaning LOVE) South Africa is a Cape Town- based non-profit organisation aimed at providing a means for upliftment and support of this country’s most impoverished and destitute communities. Uthando provides a platform and infrastructure to raise funds from individuals, such as yourselves, and organisations like African Exclusive Travel, and many other Tour operators in South Africa who have an interest and awareness in our social responsibility to give back in love, and create hope for a better future for those who now have a rather drear one.
The money generated will support a broad range of local community based sustainable, innovative and empowerment projects that are directed towards mitigating conditions of poverty, hunger, homeless- Drumming
ness, unemployment and other forms of deprivation and suffering.

For every tour or itinerary you book through African Exclusive Travel, a fee is donated to Uthando South Africa, but over and above that contribution, we encourage you to please visit one or two of the projects that you have thus supported by travelling to Africa with us, which we will gladly facilitate for you, including collection and drop off at your hotel, accompanied by an Uthando guide who can give you that first-hand reveal of how your contributions are helping, and building communities.

Like slavery and apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings.
