Constantia Travel Information

Featured Destination - Constantia
The fertile Constantia Valley is the oldest wine region in South Africa, with its moderate climate and rich soil, and is protected from the Cape’s notorious wines, it’s no wonder that Simon van ser Stel, first Govenor of the Cape, chose to cultivate and develop Constantia farm in 1685. Over the years, the original farmlands have been divided into a few smaller farms, and the region now boasts five world-class wine estates, which all produce award-winning wines: Steenberg, Constantia Uitsig, Buitenverwachting, Klein Constantia, and Groot Constantia.
