The diverse Eastern Cape landscape ranges from the dry desolate Great Karoo to the steamy forests of the Wild Coast and the Keiskamma Valley. This is where the ‘big five’ roam, and where the tropical forests share their space with abundant birdlife and nature at its most generous, all within a malaria-free family suited location. The Eastern Cape has over 800km of Coastline, and this combination of pristine beach and indigenous forests is known as the “Sunshine Coast”. Most of the population is Xhosa-speaking, a nation who’s royal family former president Nelson Mandela descends from.
