Stellenbosch Travel Information

Featured Destination - Stellenbosch
Stellenbosch is the capital of the Cape Winelands and was the second town to be established by the Dutch settlers. It is very attractive and full of old thatched and whitewashed Cape Dutch buildings and historic national monuments. The wine estates too, are most impressive with grand manor houses and beautifully laid out grounds. Stellenbosch has become known as 'the town of oaks', with these trees being abundant, and some proclaimed national monuments. Being a University Town, there are a wide variety of cultural activities in which the departments of Music, Drama and Fine Arts play an important role, and contribute to the vibe and excitement of this historic town.
